Definition of the sophrology
Sophrology is a technique of deliberate psychophysical relaxation invented from the Spanish doctor A. Caycedo, hitch aims to strengthen the mind of an individual, to help him overcome some of the negative aspects of personal experience, (stress, shock, conflict, etc.) or in order to improve performance. This state of relaxation is necessary to induce the brain to produce waves called alpha.
Four rhythmic frequencies correspond to the basic bioelectrical activity of the brain:
- Beta (waking),
- Alpha (the state of pre-somnolence)
- Theta (the state of drowsiness)
- Delta (the state of deep sleep)
This led relaxation causes a reduced brain activity (alpha) without depriving the subject of his voluntary control. The individual is always aware of what he does and it is susceptible to positive suggestions, and it may at any time decide to stop or continue the session. This is what makes it mainly different from deep hypnosis. We can consider the Sophrology, as a form of "mental gymnastics", which allows the individual to overcome the difficulties of the present life.
This "mental gymnastics", finds its place in the precautionary approach and modern holistic healing!
How is held a meeting of sophrology?
You will be sometimes seated sometimes in feet. You will carry out one series of exercises of physical and psychical relaxation. Your eyes sometimes will be opened, sometimes sluices. You will be aware all the time, but in a state of relaxation. The exercises aim makes you to experiment a set of feelings of physical and mental order that will allow you to carry out a set of self realizations. To the end of each session, some recordings will be given to you in order to practice these exercises of relaxation daily at yours home.
